Ok, bit of background...
My older sister has her birthday on November 21rst, while mine is on December 2nd.
So we have a sort of "contest," to see who has snow on their birthday.
(I live in Sheboygan, WI)
In the decades we've been around, I won once, in past years.
This year, my sister had no snow here, or days after her birthday.
Today? I do!
And happy birthday to all others today!

(32,688 posts)But, I've been coming up here on Nov. 15 to Dec. 1 for over 40 years.
On the 15th of Nov. there is never ice on the inland lakes. By Dec 1 there is most years. It has been like clock work.
If I was a little more West, like West of 131, in the snow belt, I'd have been looking at snow instead of ice.
