Heroic California Man (Risks His Life) to Rescue a Wild Rabbit Trapped by Flames

https://laughingsquid.com/man-rescues-wild-rabbit-from-thomas-fire/

An unknown man who was driving on Highway One in Ventura County, California, pulled his car over to the side of the road and seemingly began to behave rather strangely. What this heroic young man was doing, however, was making a brave attempt to catch a wild rabbit who had become trapped by the flames of the devastating Thomas Fire. Luckily, the man was able to get a bead on the rabbit’s movements and quickly caught the scurrying animal. He gently scooped up the frightened lagomorph and walked safely away from the flames.

A man pulled over on the highway and braved raging flames to rescue a wild rabbit as the Thomas Fire advanced in Ventura county.

to another (the flames).

That poor man whose entire body was poised for the flames consuming the bunny. How he tensed and did a full body wince. He would have been crushed had the bunny been engulfed when all he wanted to do was save the rabbit. It was kind of like watching a horror movie except this horror is real and deadly.

But - YAY! - the bunny comes back away from the flames and the man does get a good hold on the rabbit. The man cradles the bunny against his body and off they both go to safety. I hope the bunny calms enough to allow people to help it.

Whew. My tummy was in knots. I could feel the man's fear of the bunny dying and I can only guess at the level of fear in the rabbit because I've had to run from danger myself - but not caught between two potential dangers like that.

That was great! Because it has a happy ending.
