OH My High Priestess! What came out of that red witch's vagina! SPOILER Game ofThrones

Just saw the last installment of the Games of Thrones. All I'm thinking is, there is nothing smokey and dark that claws its way out of the womb that can be a good thing.

So in the netherworld, we have white walker zombies with superpowers, we have three dragons that will grow big enough to burn villages and crops, and now this hell inspired heir. And then we have dire wolves that can swallow a man whole, and oh, and by the way, the normal humans are busy chopping each other's heads off or finding other brutal ways to off each other.

I'm having trouble figuring out who the good guys are. The only safe bet is some Starks, the dwarf and the wolves.

I think that's one of the things I like about the series, no one is purely good or purely evil. Even the Starks. After all, Sansa sold her father up the river to Cersei and Arya has a couple people assassinated.

Noticed it when Tyrion asked her if she was really in love with Joffrey or only pretending to be. (last night's show) She spoke robotically that she loved Joffrey and looked forward to the day they married (or something similar). Tyrion responded, "You will survive us Lancasters afterall."

I think she was just stupidly naive when she told the queen about her father's plans. She grows a lot throughout the books, though.

...(and I'm about halfway throught book four, so bear that in mind), are John Snow and the white-haired girl. Arya's definitely a protagonist, but that kid's a straight killer.

and Martin keeps up with his writing, you'll find your opinion of some characters can change quite a bit over time.

One character that was almost universally hated in the first book/TV season is now a fairly sympathetic character. Another that did some horrific things in book 2 is now somebody you feel sorry for (almost).
