Would you eat vegan at McDonald's?

This is no shit: in Sweden and Finland, the world's biggest meat restaurant is launching a "McVegan" burger.

http://money.cnn.com/2017/12/19/news/mcdonalds-mcvegan-vegan-burger/index.html

It looks like a pretty standard veggie burger: soy patty on a bun with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onion, ketchup, mustard, oil and eggless sandwich sauce.

Last I checked, the vegan community is diametrically opposed to the very existence of McDonald's. Something tells me they aren't going to suddenly decide Mickey D's is okay to eat at now that they have one not-actually-vegan thing on the whole friggin' menu that didn't have to be knocked upside the head with a sledgehammer as part of its preparation.

An aside: Remember the "Veggie Whopper" Burger King was selling for a while? They advertised this product by sticking a sign on the inside of the out-door asking people who were leaving the store to "Try One Next Time!" Whatever happened to putting a sign in the window that says "Try One Today!"? I have no idea at all how they tasted, but I can pretty much guarantee why they're no longer sold.

so why bother.

I'm not a McD hater, I just avoid them if I can.

I've been Vegan since the 1980's, but even before then, I'd never eaten @ McDonald's anyway. Plus, I don't miss meat or dairy product at ALL. Not one bit. Veganism is expensive, and especially so the past several years as food prices continue going up, up and away. But I'm eating for one, I live frugally and I owe it to myself to eat as healthy as I possibly can.

I'm not a herbivore so I don't eat vegan. And I never eat at McDump's. McDumps, or Muckdumps doesn't serve hamburgers. They serve bamhurgs, like Booger King and Jack Off In the Box. I call the last that because a local employee was fired for masturbating in the kitchen. Yes, they really do Jack Off In the Box there.

As in last week (the last few times I've had meat, I've gotten sick).

While it sounds great on paper to avoid McD's, with my lifestyle it is not feasible. I travel a lot for work, and when I'm stopping along the highway for food, I don't want to go a mile off the interstate to find a local restaurant. I want the fast food place that I can literally see the highway from and know I won't have to risk getting lost on back roads.

I probably wouldn't order a soy burger though. I avoid soy in large doses because it messes with the female system. Now at a place like McD's, I'd just have sides (similar to what holiday meals look like to me now).

ETA McD's has free wifi. I don't know how many reports I've filed from there.
