$250 maybe, a few times. This year it will be a lot less - I'm giving food gifts, mostly made by me. I don't send out cards any more and I re-use as much wrapping paper as possible. I did buy a few more light strings this year but they've become pretty cheap.

But, whatever people want to spend is up to them. The retail economy depends a lot on people going nuts at Christmas.
