Better with your weather. I'm in Florida, so no snow or ice.

1.5 cups of water
3/4 cup of sugar
combine and boil till sugar melts.

Add about 1.5 cups orange juice, 10 cloves, 3 cinnamon sticks.

Boil all together for about 10 minutes.

Pour in a bottle of a somewhat fruity red wine.

Boil all together for 5 ish minutes.

Strain.

Enjoy!

. . .consisting of butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves and ginger all creamed together.

And I like to add hot milk, making it a Hot Buttered Rum Cow.

Or hot apple cider.

BTW, the HBR batter can also be used as a spread for making cinnamon toast. Or cooked with heavy cream to make a rum sauce.
