sports my father bullied me into going out for.

Then I joined the Army, and trained as a tank crewman. Four years of constant pushups, loading bulky rounds into the tank's gun, and the kind of heavy lifting required for keeping the tank maintained really developed my physique.

When I got out of the Army, I took up weight-lifting in order to avoid the instant-paunch look a lot of people develop after leaving the service. Within a year or so, I had developed a pretty good set of abs. But I was only able to maintain them for about a year and a half. It was awfully hard work! Plus, I met (and later married) a woman who didn't care what I looked like. I didn't exactly let myself go, but I let the abs go. Too damn much work.

Just like I still have the same butt I had when I was 26.

The same, and even more.
