We saw him "An Evening with James Taylor" a few years ago. We had really good seats in the 7th row. In looking for seat list on line I found that he has an intermission in the middle and I found something interesting. Sure enough about 90 minutes into the show he says "We'll play this song then take a short break (made a joke about his age and the age of the audience)" which he did, stage lights go down, everyone's moving around, he throws on an English driving cap and sits down on the edge of the stage. Anyone who noticed (or knew about it ahead of time like I did) could go up and talk to him, take pics, etc. My wife got a picture with him. Pretty cool.

Another thing I found which I didn't know - he was the first non-British act that the Beatle's Apple records signed to a contract. He was recording at Abbey Road studios while the Beatles were making "The White Album". McCartney played bass and George sang backup on the original "Carolina on my mind".

It was by far one of the best performances I have seen. He is so professional, engaging, and sounds great. He is really funny and had a sold out arena laughing a lot. He played three encores. It was almost like he was having such a good time that he didn't want to leave.
