Many of the women are extremely attractive.
One of my wise ass male cousins is in his 50's. He is notorious for slipping his female cousins the tongue whenever they kiss upon greeting.
It's not really because he is a horndog...I think he does it to get a reaction of disgust from them. And it works. In the end, they all laugh about it. It's a family tradition.

On the family dynamics/social acceptability side, you're probably about right.

(17,209 posts)My great-uncle did a family tree of his side of the family about 60 years ago. Seems two of my ancestors in that branch married their first cousins. Which is about as close as one can get -- with cousins.
