Scorsese's Joker Movie Begins Shooting This Summer?

I'm not by any means opposed to Scorsese being involved (he's a great storyteller!); it's just an odd combination, and one I though I'd never see. Like ice-cream and lima beans.

My guess is he's doing a John Sayles-- directing (in his case, producing) to bankroll one of his own projects.
