Who here reuses their old pickle juice?

Once all the pickles are gone, what do you use with the juice left in the jar?

Me: Sliced cukes, of course. MORE PICKLES! Next, I'm trying some California mix veggies. Hmmm, that's gonna be good with a turkey burger.

How about you guys?

For grilling I do teriyaki sauce, lime juice, olive oil, and mccormick mesquite seasoning. Its the only way Ive been able to master grilled chicken without it being dry as hell.

I’ll have to give that a try.

pickle juice???

The world is falling apart, the planet is boiling, the USA is turning into a fascist dictatorship, the Batavia Muckdogs will probably have yet another losing season.

And you are asking us about pickle juice.

freakin' A, man !!

I don't buy pickles.

Pickles are our friends. They'll never steer you wrong.

If more people were armed with pickles instead of AR-15's, think of all the joy that will bring.

Instead of vinegar or lemon. Then I cut up pickles and mix in tuna. Weird, but a habit my grandmother passed to me and its really good. Same can be done in egg salad instead of vinegar. I add sweet relish to mine.

Not enough to use up ALL that pickle juice, so Im watching this thread. : )

Prefer sweet bread and butter pickles.

Also from maternal grandmother and mother. Homemade pickles always as a child.

My other grandmother use to make bread & butter pickles. Same with Mom - cucumbers straight from our garden. Good times.

Never tried it with tuna though - I like the tart taste of dill pickles. : )

you might have to add a bit more Vinegar. We use 9% acid just to kick it up a notch. Usually sold in 10-12 oz bottle. Pricey but a couple of teaspoons goes miles. Try Celery some time.

I remember when I belonged to weight watchers, a bunch of people noticed it was an appetite suppressant too. Whenever I'm trying to lose weight, I hit the pickles.

Add a good whack of Tabasco and soak your chicken in it, 24h for boneless and 48 for bone in. Pat dry, dunk in buttermilk and flour, let the breading set and fry it up. If my clientele ate fried chicken I could sell it for a 300% profit but I just feed it to the staff

There are times I have a glut of the stuff in May from my little garden patch. Clean the spears and stick them in a jar of pickle juice - just like a cucumber. They taste so good. Yes I know I could freeze the extra but the result is just not to my liking. So I pickle 'em and enjoy the spears on antipasti trays, etc.
