(31,518 posts)underneath a more recent layer. We covered that up with paint, but she is still living with the harvest gold formica countertop that is probably older than she is. It finally goes away this summer.
For the record, my pantsuit had long sleeves, but those shoes really look familiar.

(9,267 posts)Bought a fridge at Sears recently. The choices were steel, black and white. We got white. Even an off-white is only available in a few models.

(205,510 posts)It was just like that, built in and above the stove, and it was huge! It didn't have one of those turntables in it, so it would fit a 9x14 inch pan, no problem! After a lot of years it finally stopped working and the repair guy said it couldn't be fixed. It's now used for storing pans. That was the first microwave I knew and they definitely don't make them like that anymore.
And my mother had all Frigidaire appliances, fridge, stove, washer and dryer - and they were all a light pink, her favorite color!
Thx
(81 posts)When we moved into our house in 1972 the whole house was olive green.
The people who had the house previously won a new kitchen on "Let's Make A Deal", lol.
So the whole kitchen, the carpet was olive green shag along with the living room drapes and the exterior of the house, why not?
It took us several years, but we finally got rid of all of it!
Thx
