and students and parents with lots of issues.

I used to post my salary on a sticky note on my computer. I’d add some digits so it looked like a phone number but I knew what it meant, and sometimes I needed some encouragement and motivation.

I hope you have lots of days where you enjoy your job so much you can’t believe someone would pay you for it.

I got paid quite well for it.

But yeah sometimes it came to mind you wish you were doing something else that didn't involve a shovel or a crab pot.

Now if we can take our country back we will make better paying jobs for as many as we can.

Btw, sticking a King Crab for shell size to determine if it was legal to throw in the tank?.

Tailights were a dream.....

Everybody got to do something, more power to the workers.....

And more money, healthcare, stability, job security, we can do it again.

Jobs galore, all well paying, big beautiful health care, winning, whatever. (Sarcasm)

I’m looking forward to a blue wave and all those things you listed in your final sentence. We can do it again.

Just not to the one person and his lackeys that lied even before he opened his mouth.

I remember that the Man we put in charge was doing just fine at the time for ALL OF US.

My work and life were always up to me, I didn't listen to anybody who promised me anything.

And watched for 8 years as a Man of color who was derided at every opportunity and way possible do the best job I've ever seen to make this dream work for us.

We are living in pure hell right now, all because a few cant find their ass with both hands and directions, ad of course the rodent sex they keep renewing every 10 seconds to explain the obviously blown cover story of " no collusion ".

I yearn for the days of a Leader who cared about us, Man, Woman, LBGT, color not important.

I know but I had to vent a little, I grew up in the "Duck and Cover" era, we had it so good during Obamas service to our country.

When you could tell our President wasn't lying to us with every breath, we had it so good for so long we forgot how shitty it could get.

But now our youth are energized, and my hopes for our future are uplifting instead of gloom and doom.

He's still in the White House, but we'll take it back, and we will be able to smile again.

And then get those flipping guns off the market, and enter a time where words and a promise mean something again.

For everyone.

I hope you know I was kidding with that “weren’t you listening line” - it’s hard to get that across on a message board.

I had older parents who never got over the depression and never let us forget the sacrifices of the war years. Over the years we’ve had less stressful times than others. On election night I could not sleep and I’ve spent a lot of time dwelling on the realities and the horrible possibilities the administration could bring. The women’s march and the students’ activism have inspired me and given me hope.

Let’s work for hope, optimism and peace to become contagious.
