Someone assumed I was gay again...

I'm 58 years old, but I never married.

Nope, no divorces, I just never got married.

So some guy on another message board assumed I was gay.
(Complete with nasty anti-gay slur. Yup, the guy is a "conservative." )

I'm totally hetero, and I accept gays, as they are.

I had a great-uncle who lived to be into his 90's, and he never married.
And he had girlfriends. Even into his 80's! (Maybe longer!)

I know a few guys who are in their 40's and older like me who never got married.

So why the assumption of being gay?

an assumptive slam or supposed shallow insult on someone else is a sure sign of individual insecurity and flawed view of one’s own life.

Methinks he doth protest too much?

Ageism/gender stereotyping of women who aren’t married.
It’s a sucky, dense attitude that insults heterosexuals, LGBT and...human intelligence.

Their flaw. Their mental baggage.

Just never met the right woman is the best way to express it.

Other than that he is, as I like to say, a flaming heterosexual.

Well mannered, well spoken person.
Take it as a compliment.
Unless it’s a woman you want to have sex with.
Then, ask her just how bad she wants to find out.
She will then be obligated to have sex with you. 🤣 haha.

And my tang get all tonguled up talking to women.

I kind of envied this one guy I knew decades ago.

He'd walk into a bar, see a nice looking woman, walk up to them and say flat out, "Wanna fuck?"
Oh, he got slapped, punched and kicked a lot, but he got girls into the sack too.
I haven't seen the guy in decades, and I realize now that the girls he got, weren't the type I wanted to get to know.

But, takes all kinds, I guess.

So now the only girls in my life are my family, and my 2 cats.

Kids these days are all over the place sexually and they don't care. Once our generation dies out, no one will assume anything and no one will judge either. The kids have got this. It's all good.
