So, I guess my husband and I will be having a couple of kids

They definitely have his nose --

Yep. We decided to get a pair of Pygmy goats. He just texted me saying a guy he works with has some he'll let us have for cheap.

I think it will be good therapy for my SIL who is 8. Her mom died this past summer and she's been very distant and quiet. We bring her out to our house to stay some weekends and when she runs around with some of the kids out here on their farms and interacts with the farm animals she becomes a whole new child. She's going to just die when she sees them. I'm feeling kind of giggly about the idea myself.

Just for the record -- No, those aren't our goats pictured above, we haven't gotten them yet but Ohmygawdtheyresocute! When he texted me I had to google them. I can't stop laughing over how cute they are.

they are totally funny and playful and come up with all kinds of ways to get attention. They really love attention!

Have fun with yours, are you just getting two?

It's all rather new, this country living thing, for hubby and me. We agreed we don't want to go so fast as to get in over our heads, especially if it meant harming the livestock we're supposed to care for.

Feed 'em Twinkies and KoolAid and they will leave the couch alone.

And two kids are getting a good home, such a deal all the way around. Your post reminded me of this old and still loved song.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as pygmy goats. I hope they aren't too much trouble.

I agree that two little guys like that will probably be a great thing for your SIL. I wish her the best.
