Cats and laser pointers

I've had the privilege of having many cats over the years - some go bonkers over a laser, others - eh, so what?

5. I have a story,,,,

Back in early 2000's I was on a team choosing software products for a new IT Agency. Needless to say we went to alot of out of state IT conferences, Microsoft in Vegas for example. We got alot of goodies as well, tiny battery operated cars, before they hit the toy stores, obligatory t shirts, sweat shirts, coozies laser pointers,,,

Last trip to Vegas we were walking the strip, seeing the sites. We hear somebody say Seigfreid and Roy's cats are in the Bellagio. So we head into the place. Bellagio has a L-o-n-g- walkway befroe you enter the main building. Lots of little high end shops, to rid you of your change before the Bellagio rids you of your paper bills inside.

Z&R cats are on display behind glass halfway up the walkway. BIG crowd in front of the glass. We wait our turn and finally get face up on the glass. I'm looking at these cats, when all of a sudden I see a red dot. Appear on the far wall behind the cats. Then it disappears, reappears,disappears. I'm amazed some fool is attempting to get these cats to notice a laser pointer in fron of this huge crowd of people.

I hear a voice behind me say, Don't move, Im using you as a shield. I recognize the voice as someone on the trip with us! I tell him, The He** you are, I'm walking away now. And I spun around and began walking leaving him exposed.
He didn't get into trouble, but the idea of using me as a shield for him to cause trouble was a bit much for me.
