I got up very early, watched the wedding, then went back to bed. Glad I did. It is always wonderful to see a happy couple clearly in love.

(32,065 posts)With all the bullshit we endure in this country day in and day out. A little love story and happy ending is nice to see for a change.
Hence the British Invasion posts. To be in the spirit of things, dig?
Plus, I drive a Mini Cooper!

I agree with everyone else, we need some love in these dark times. And I always love how Harry and William find ways to honor their mother's memory...

(10,914 posts)It's a great distraction from all the horrible things going on in our two countries. This was all about love across races, with no regard for Brexit, the Mango Masturbator, or any of the corrupt happenings in various governments around the world. This was all about love, which is seldom traditional.

(70,740 posts)I watched the whole thing and found it refreshingly relaxed, with the little surprises of "Stand By Me" and the cellist/Ave Maria and briefly felt bad for the bride's mother ALONE against the whole "royal" establishment, gives another perspective to "stand by me" (PLEASE, somebody!1).
Yeah, it's all b.s., but spectacle performance art.
