(17,340 posts)When we redo our kitchen here in Aix, I'm getting one of those or a Le Creuset, despite the fact that they are super expensive, even in the land of their manufacture.

(17,340 posts)We just gave away all of our Le Creuset but one. Too heavy to bring over to France.
The only one I still have is a round blue 3 quart with a lid.
Had two large Dutch ovens, a small skillet, the orange twin to my blue 3 quart, and a tarte tatin pan. Friends got them, not strangers.

(12,132 posts)here in Orlando a restaurant called, not coincidentally, Le Coq au Vin. One of the finest things I've ever put in my mouth.

(12,132 posts)I lived down that way for over 30 years and they were there before I got there. We've moved to the north side of Orlando but I still drive by there on occasion and I always think "This isn't too far - I gotta go there again".
Pretty sure that was the first French food, other than toast and fries, I ever had and I have never been disappointed in a dish there. But man, that coq au vin is something else. A universe beyond anything I've had before or since.
