14. I know.....we were visiting at the end of October right after 9/11.....

Every Irish person that knew we were Americans came up to us and just hugged us. We heard stories of their family members in New York that day......we all cried, it was the best vacation I was ever on in a foreign country. They all hugged us.

I ran into some woman that congratulated me on his re-election. I told her I was not happy about it and walked away with my head hung down.

Those were bad bad times -- just as awful as now except 9/11 had occurred.
