I got my email bills today.
My ISP has gone up $5.00/mo. for a very low quality DSL connection (now $35/mo.) and my cable TV (12 channels) has gone up from $19.97 to $32.29 as well (same cost as ISP almost).
I have a low-income landline for telephone, no cell phones around here.
This is sickening. To qualify for the low-income phone it means you are at poverty level.
I wish I could dump both of these "services" that I feel I need.
I live in a rural area and do not see what options I really have as before I had the limited cable TV, I had nothing at all.
So there is no inflation or so they say.
It's eating me up alive! Maybe once the rich start feeling the pinch they will quickly change their minds as the pocket book rules their lives!
FUCK YOU tRump!!!!

(25,253 posts)food, gas, utilities, health insurance and pretty soon with all of Trump's tariff's and the retaliation by effected countries with counter tariff's - you can watch the cost of cars, houses, computers, TV's, etc go up as well.
So you people out there that were pro-Repug and Trump tax bill - what happened to all that money you were going to get from it?

A foster aunt 90-years old comes to mind. Cheap she is and a millionaire as well. She voted for tRump because her kids told her to do so. She got her fat tax cut, oh yes she did and she is so happy. Just wait ...

(3,430 posts)...so if you can just cut back on your frivolous DSL bill, stop being lazy and get a second or third job, you will find you are winning in a few years when it trickles down and you can afford DSL again!

Soon this will spread. Even the rich living their faux lives in debt will take the biggest hits,
Those that are carrying 1/2 million debts on a house they could never afford to begin with will be the losers! Big losers ...
I own what I have and I have no debts FORTUNATELY!
I can dump the computers and go to the library if need be!

(20,876 posts)I keep it for my husband who watches it at times. That's the only reason I have it.
Sometimes he'll watch youtube with me but too often not.
I may check into an antenna or something if I can find one that will work where I am (close to an airport so the signal is messed up).

(58,670 posts)Gas has been rising for months. Groceries, too, for the most part. I'm in low income housing for seniors, but there's nothing to say it can't go up. It has risen both of the last two years.
