People made pilgrimages to the Haight (for me it was a 1/2 hour drive) from all over the world, there was a big memorial concert, etc. It was crushing to so many. He was one beloved dude.

My brother was a big deadhead. A couple hundred shows of course we lived 20 minutes from the Mothership.
