Mine is Channing Tatum. I have absolutely nothing against him, just meh.

(16,104 posts)Kate Winslet does absolutely nothing for me. Not in anything I have ever seen her in (or out of).
All during the movie Titanic, I kept saying to myself, "Jack, let her go!"

(50,911 posts)Lots of them, actually. Just looking back at the People "Sexiest Man Alive" list, here are the ones I said "meh" to: Matthew McConaghay (I always expect his teeth to sparkle in a disconcerting manner), Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman, Harry Hamlin (Harry Hamlin? Really?)
The rest pretty much ARE the sexiest men alive. Though Idris Elba never seems to have won, which, please.
Also, Paul Krugman should be in there somewhere. I love his brain.

(63,221 posts)"sexiest men alive" because I don't know a lot of women who think they are very appealing. I always preferred kind of offbeat European looking men anyway. I don't go for the all-American cute look.

He and Pam Dawber have been married for 31 years, a rarity in Hollywood.

(20,137 posts)Considering he's the star and one of the producers of NCIS, he certainly could have gotten the biggest, best and newest trailer available. Instead, he bought a vintage 1972 Airstream and redid the entire interior himself. He just seems pretty grounded as actors go.

(20,137 posts)It's generally just a publicity campaign. The men almost always have something they are promoting - a new film, TV show or album. I think the publicists all know People's timeline for choosing and go pitch their client(s). That's what publicists do. Why else would they have 3 actors chosen TWICE?

(20,137 posts)Hot body I suppose, but I don't find his face handsome at all.
Others on my not so hot list:
Ryan Gosling
Brad Pitt
Ryan Reynolds
There are some exceptions, but I've just never been into blonds all that much. I find them rather bland. The first time I saw an actor that I thought "DAMN he's hot" was Al Pacino in Serpico. I was 16. Ever since then I've been into short, ethnic guys.
smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)Bland, boring. I don't really go for blonds either. Although one exception for me is Daniel Craig. He's kind of a little rough looking, which I like. He also seems to have a brain and is on the liberal side, which helps.
Actually, another blondish-ginger that is quite hot is James Norton, an English Actor who stars in PBS's Grantchester as a 1950's vicar who solves crimes, is fond of drink and Sidney Bechet. He is absolutely dreamy! Kind of challenging my aversion to blond/ginger men.

(63,221 posts)They also don't have that cookie-cutter pretty look that a lot of famous Americans do. All the American actors are so boringly generic looking to me. They are pretty, but not sexy. Too boyish and bland looking.

(29,615 posts)..... To be clear, Diesel does not simply comment that Moreira is beautiful in passing, that would be bad enough. Instead, he repeatedly interrupts the interview to tell Moreira, and everyone else within earshot, how beautiful she is over and over again. Warning, there is some NSFW language in the below video.

(53,410 posts)I just didnt see what was so sexy about him.
Then I watched him in Patrick Melrose and fell in love with him. The fastest way for me to find a man sexy is if he makes me laugh and though he plays a highly neurotic alcoholic drug addict there is one episode in which he reacts to some new drug in one of the funniest scenes Ive seen. Im not making fun of addictions. The show is a drama and very sad though the humor is super dry British humor which only makes Cumberbatches slapstick even funnier.
Now I think hes get out of here sexy!

Still in love with his Sherlock, though.
But, then, I've been in love with Sherlock Holmes since I read "A Study in Scarlet" when I was 13.
To this day, I have a thing for brainy, emotionally unavailable men.
If you're super smart and treat me like garbage, I'm yours. Bonus points for British accent.

(81,099 posts)Nothing. Does NOTHING in the Ring-My-Chimes department.
Channing Tatum is another one. I can't get past his weird wide neck.
And Tom Cruise never moved the meter for me, either. Nor do either of the "Ryans" (Gosling and Reynolds). Meh.
Now, Hugh Jackman on the other hand...

(16,372 posts)The men I think are sexy have to look different, not classically handsome. Harrison Ford comes to mind with his adorable crooked smile. I also think a lot of bald men are incredibly sexy, i.e. Michael Avenatti! Woof.

(8,851 posts)Kinda liked her when I first saw her in Dead Calm back in the 80s when she had a kind of natural and athletic appeal and wild, mermaid hair. After she had her nose done and went all sex kitten on us I found her unbearable and still do to this day. She was one of the many, many, many things that made Moulin Rouge unwatchable and for a while she seemed to be in every other movie that hit the big screen.

She has always been talked about as this sexy bombshell.
I've always found her repulsive.
And apropos the OP, I've always hated Channing Tatum because he reminds me of the kind of guys who used to beat me up when I was a kid. I always imagined that they grew up to be monumental failures who died alone in a trailer park. Channing Tatum gets fame and stardom. Ugh.

(56,828 posts)never really thought she was all that attractive. Not ugly or anything, just not that exciting/sexy to me.
Among current actresses, while I consider her reasonably attractive and blessed with a terrific body, I don't think Jennifer Lawrence is as gorgeous as many say.

(8,445 posts)When I was in college I worked in the theater arts department for awhile. Some "hot" soap opera star spent some time there as an "artist in residence". I suppose the guy, whose name I don't recall, was physically attractive, but he was a jerk and he was stupid. That experience changed the way I looked at most celebrities.
