bought an LG tv, not a smart model. Everytime we turn it on it says, "POWER ON" at a high volume. It goes on to tell us what channel it's on and when we turn it off, it says "POWER OFF"
can this be rectified? Like muting the damn volume?

And I'm not trying to be snarky. Sometimes, when all else fails, I find the answer to my questions by reading the manual.
