I lived in Portland, Maine from 1988 to 1993. For some reason we got a lot of tourists in the Summer.
The Hallmark card store downtown would put on displays of Christmas cards and ornaments for sale each July for a month or two,
and the tourists bought them up.
Don’t know why. Maybe it was all the pine trees in the state.
