The DU Lounge

and no call from her explaining why. The home health agency that trains people for this and other health support had heard no word from her and has been trying to reach her.
I'm hoping nothing bad happened to her. But I've given up on her coming today. The agency is going to try to get someone else to come tomorrow.
We have a dire situation with laundry piling up. If worse comes to worse we have a wonderful neighbor who has offered to do our laundry for us if needed. He's a great guy. Drives me to my doctor, drove hubby to his chemical stress test, helps me with food shopping, etc.
We're old and hubby is partially disabled so having an aide is pretty crucial for us...

(12,608 posts)Years ago my husbands' grandmother had a home health aide and when she didn't come in it was a crisis. I suggested to the agency that they should have aides on call if the regular aide does not come in. People don't realize how crucial this is. The agency started offering overtime pay for the on-call aides.
