4. I think the movie will suffer

from originitis. The origin story is not unique enough to be interesting (I read it as a 12 year old in the 1970s so trust me on this point). I personally would have led with a Superman/Black Adam movie with the ultimate resolution being the origin story of Billy Batson (yes I would cram it into the last five minutes).

I would begin the Shazam movie with Captain Mar-- er Shazam already in a major battle. Handle any other origin points with flashbacks.

Not another 30 minutes of exploring your powers. Sorry I am not on board with this movie. There are ton of more interesting DC characters out there. Captain Mar-- er Shazam was originally a Fawcett comic in the 1940s created in response to Superman. It shows. It has the same problems as Superman. Shazam has never worked well in the DC universe (the only time he has worked is when he has been fighting Superman which would take four or five movies to get to that point - See MCU's Civil War).
