Actually, I do hate scented candles, especially the ones that are supposed to smell like sweet food - pumpkin spice, apple pie, vanilla, chocolate cookies - yuck. Pine is OK in small doses but no fake food, please.

The thing really did smell like mashed potatoes.

I left that job in 2005. I'm sure they've since discontinued that scent.

Loooove them. But the good ones, and I agree, generally no food, although yes to fruits and coffee/hazelnut.

I don't burn them though. One is sage, which is pretty mild that I have in my bedroom. I did read once where having unburned candles in your house is bad luck, maybe I should light these for a half hour.
