Despite the very erratic weather, this year's garden is very promising.

What are you planning to cook tonight?

(26,250 posts)Probably saute some chicken, add diced squash, sweet onion and maybe a green pepper with some of the tomato and then toss in some Parmesan Cheese. The rest of the tomato will go into a cucumber salad. I made one of those, last night, and nearly SWOONED over the flavor of the tomato.
Peas go into the fridge until I have enough for a nice little stir fry. Hopefully by tomorrow.

(31,911 posts)of tomato, cucumber, and a little bit of onion, plus a smidge of oil/vinegar dressing! Have to be home grown tomatoes, though!
Your dinner stir fry sounds so good.
My peas are just about done .... they didn't do so well in the hot weather. However, the peppers are almost ready to be harvested, and my green beans are going strong, as are my endless supply of cukes. Tomatoes are just starting to ripen, as well. I can't wait for a BLT sandwich, my favorite!

(26,250 posts)Snow peas are doing well but shell peas are slow, too.
Tomatoes and peppers are abundant. I usually make and freeze a lot of ratatouille, but this year I'm going to cut back and make/freeze more stewed tomatoes. They are perfect for chili, stews and soups during the cold Winter. I'll probably make some pasta sauce, too.
I also have a nice herb garden. I love cooking with fresh Basil and Dill.
My niece is coming up from Florida, next week, and I'm hoping we can do a lot of fresh garden produce cooking.
