exchange my digital cable box. Talked to a clerk at the cable "store" and she asked me if I had a cat. I said "Yes, I have two". She asked me if they liked to sit on the cable box and I had to reply in the affirmative. "That's your problem. Vacuum out the box and your pixilations will disappear." I've been vacuuming it regularly ever since!

and slept there as I wasted many an hour. He loved , I guess, the warmth of that big, bulky monitor. When I got a flat screen monitor, I think it broke his little heart. Looking back, I should have plugged that old one back in and let him enjoy himself.

I'm guessing she really enjoyed the warmth of that old CRT. Back in the '80s when PCs were just starting to become available I knew a guy who built his own "mainframe," which was a big metal box that put out a lot of heat. His cat liked to sleep on it, but one dry winter day there was so much static electricity in the cat's fur that all the stored data in that thing was zapped and erased. The cat was thereafter banned from that room.

Annie, my calico sweetheart - carried her home from the mean streets of Pittsburgh in my coat pocket on a cold winter day and stayed with me for 16 years. Named her after the cartoon character, Little orphan Annie.

Saves my keyboard from so much grime and spilling things on it.

They're like $10 on Amazon.

at a critical moment. And the hair... my keyboard looks like some folk art felt project. On the plus side, it's a well known fact that the body temperature of long haired cats will keep your coffee warmer than having no cat at all.

across the arm of the recliner and into my lap... still needs some improvement. I bought a teeny tiny mouse pad as a deterrent for my Phat Jack, but that plan also needs more work.
