I have an HOA Board who grant themselves "waivers" from the covenants but attempt to vigorously apply them to others.
Do I need a certain type of lawyer to sue them? What kind of court hears these cases?

(34,661 posts)licensed in your State and has Litigated previous HOA issues. Some States have conflict of interests between HOA's and their Real Estate Regulators. Good luck,can get darn messy.

(3,408 posts)You may have to run the damn HOA yourself, but if you can convince 51% of the owners that the current leadership is self-serving, you can remove them.

(1,533 posts)I'd never but a house that is part of an HOA. Why surrender basic rights to other people's beliefs. HOAs are run by people who want to dictate other people's business...
