What kind of lawyer do you hire to fight HOA?

I have an HOA Board who grant themselves "waivers" from the covenants but attempt to vigorously apply them to others.

Do I need a certain type of lawyer to sue them? What kind of court hears these cases?

Which court hears the case will depend on your jurisdiction.

Real estate, contractual issues, etc., would be delegated to the person most responsible for handling them.

I am guessing the case would go to a regular civil court, but that may vary from state to state.

licensed in your State and has Litigated previous HOA issues. Some States have conflict of interests between HOA's and their Real Estate Regulators. Good luck, can get darn messy.

You may have to run the damn HOA yourself, but if you can convince 51% of the owners that the current leadership is self-serving, you can remove them.

Like your HOA. Is it in any way democratic? Any friends on this board? Have you tried to make any?

My bill will be in the mail.

I'd never but a house that is part of an HOA. Why surrender basic rights to other people's beliefs. HOAs are run by people who want to dictate other people's business...
