I saw the movie last night and highly recommend it.
Great cast
Some humor and some substance
Left the movie theater wanting to read Black Klansman by Ron Stallworth which is the inspiration for the movie.
At the end of the Colorado Springs story Spike Lee brings the viewer to 2017 America and that segment is a gut punch.
This movie tells a very timely story for the times that we are living in.

(33,528 posts)I actually left the theater weeping, in part for the death of Heather Heyler, and in part for my country, that an open racist has come to power in it.
I know that Lee didn't write the script over all, but it actually was worthy of Shakespeare, comic relief, horror and tragedy and a good deal of history in it.
I recommend no one miss this film.
Powerful, moving, and more frightening than any horror movie you will ever see.

I have no idea when it'll come to NE TN, if ever.
