Or just steal popular British slang and Americanize it..."Brilliant" (as seen frequently throughout the Harry Potter novels and films) is also one ripe for the plucking...LOL

By the by...quite a while back I googled to find the source of this “awesome” expression, and as far as I can tell, it originated with the great Spiccoli from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” -

(I shoulda known, I do love that movie!)
