Our tiger male just jumped up onto the screen, claws on both feet and paws splayed out, pitifully meowing to be let in; and our white female just took off up a tree, a good thirty feet to the lowest branch. I often asked her just how she managed that trick, but she sensibly kept quiet about the whole business, while subtly hinting that it was somehow my fault. I never figured out how, but she was an expert on human guilt trips, even by cat standards...
