The woman is Park Seung-Hee, one of the great South Korean short track speed skater-- Recently retired, "She is the 2010 Overall World Champion. She won two gold medals and three bronze medals at 2010 Winter Olympics and 2014 Winter Olympics."

How cute...

My mistake about the 1000 meters..
Park switched to the long track team for 2018..

The 1000 meters short track was won by Suzanne Shulting, nederlands..

Don't know where my brain was 'cause the 1000m final was where the 2 greatest living short track skaters, both from South Korea, CRASHED and never finished-- Choi MinJeong and Shim SukHee.

The Koreans’ crash occurred on the final lap when they rounded the penultimate turn, bumped into each other and slid into the sidewall. Shim was handed a penalty for impeding.

“At the end we got tangled, and I think then we fell down,”
Shim said.

“I feel sorry for that and at that moment I was worried if Minjeong got hurt. She said she’s OK, but I still feel sorry for her.

That is the Koreans for you, some of the kindest people I have ever met.
