2. Before you try it, look up very famous musicians who've busked incognito

in very busy places (i.e. Grand Central Station) and no one listens, no one gives them money.

3. Location, Location, Location

As they say.

There are a few busking locations in my neighborhood that are so lucrative that the business they're outside of worked with the frequent performers to set up a busking schedule to minimize conflicts.

Other places in my neighborhood are terrible locations, and have no buskers there.

The one place I'm referring to is an organic grocery coop -- YMMV.

5. I have not busked

but I have contributed to buskers over the years. Not generally more than a few bucks as that's usually all I have on me and they are not always magnificent performers but damn - they putting it out there and sometimes I just like to say thanks.
