I think I may have turned a corner today in the pool. I didn't feel like I was fighting the water today. I'm able to string more laps together without pausing on the side of the pool for breath. In 7 workouts, I've cut my mile time from an hour and 2 minutes to 49 minutes. I've altered the main protein source in my diet and it is MUCH more satisfying. And I think I've turned the corner with the heartbreak, too; it's a whole lot easier getting over someone when you realize that s/he wasn't right for you in the first place (not that she's not perfect for someone; she's still a great person and very likeable) and if your crush had been returned, the relationship would have blasted apart and really torn you up. Things are better. I think they'll continue that way for a while. Y'all were very compassionate the other night when I was at a low point. Thank you. You helped. I hope your lives are going well. And even if they aren't, I hope that the fact that you did something nice and picked me up makes you feel better about things, because you're great.

(4,447 posts)I had another good workout today - it's gotten to the point to where I'm excited about what I'm doing instead of begrudging.
