I have never been interested in sport as a spectator, but being in England and France during the World Cup, and now living in France, I'm getting drawn in.

(39,377 posts)When I was a student in Paris. The only thing I missed about the States was sports. Then the World Cup (1982) happened. Look up the France/Germany semifinal. Thats a great conversation to have with an old-timer at a bar in Nation. Anyway, Ive been fiers detre bleu ever since. The French play a great game of soccer. Three trips to the WC finals in the last 20 years is all the proof you need.
