School custodians are generally anonymous and taken for granted. It's nice to see him get the recognition he deserves.

The custodians were her favorite people.
She always thanked them, daily, for what they did. We always gave each of them a gift and cash at Christmas and at the end of the year.

I think this is just as meaningful for the kids as it is for the adults, even for Mr. Eugene. If children never learn how to show appreciation, they just go through life like Donald Trump, taking from everyone and showing no respect ever.

Still later, Miller announced to the crowd, his voice rising, "Am I the only one who is sick and tired of being told to pick up my trash when we have plenty of janitors who are paid to do it for us?!"
Eventually, Miller can be seen on the video laughing as he is pushed off the stage, as his classmates continued to boo.
