Way to expensive to live in. Rent to expensive for someplace to not be able to breath and/or have panic attacks. I have a problem with the one bedroom apartment that I am in now.

apartment/closet like that once. This however was in the 60's and the bathroom and building were not kept up.

but, mind you, I was not young when I started college. It was an old boarding house/bordello (about 100 years old) but it was cheap and I had two windows and heat included. I paid extra to have my own bathroom but the sink was in the room. I was there for two semesters. The hot water was a problem, I could turn it on in the shower, run down to the grocery store a few blocks away and maybe it might be close to room temperature. I took a bunch of sport classes so I could use the showers on campus. I was really glad when I found something much nicer later on.

and the view was a building jus a few feet away. I think he was working for a company that delivered modual homes. Yeah, rent was the only thing he paid for. He was so glad to get back to his home in the country.

at least I have a view for the first time in over a decade, but I'm a lot farther away from what I can see now but couldn't then. All the good stuff was right outside the door when I couldn't see it. Oh well. I used to be able to step into my skis right off the porch, now it's a 90 minute drive for the nearest trails or slopes.

I am in now had a parking lot with another building of apartments across from it and not a hint of nature ( except the dying weeds ) and in the back a sliding glass door ( in the bedroom ) with the outside being a sidewalk, gravell, and then a very high grey fence. If you went out the slider you could see the tips of the trees that was in front of the back of my building. The apartment was large but no light and everything on the outside closing in it still had that panicky feeling. The apartment I live in now is nice, well kept, and friendly but it is the smallest apartment I have ever lived in. I do have yard and trees ( green in fact ) outside the slider ( in the living room ) and I get to watch little squirrels run around.

in the mountains but I couldn't see the view because of trees and other cabins right nest to me, kind of like you describe, only, I could walk a couple feet and be in a wonderful place with the best view.

Now, I had to move for a number of reasons, I live in a much nicer apartment, upstairs so I can see two fantastic mountain ranges, only they are at least a half hour drive away to get close enough to be in them. I would like to ski, it was my winter exercise, I went several times a week because it was right there and I hate snowmobiles, now... It's going to be expensive so I have to alter my winter game plan for exercise.

but a walk in nature is only a few blocks away in three directions. The fourth way is a few miles. The two apartments are only about half a mile away from each other and both have quick access to nature but they seem like they are in two entirely different worlds. Here I can watch squirrels there I watched police cars, fights, and people carrying guns. OK, the gun part was not bad, it was just a guy taking his rifle to his unit. It was hunting season.
