Okay I am really LOVING these cowboy boots

They are really work boots in a cowboy boot type fashion. See link below.

I've had these for 3 days (so they really aren't broken in yet) and everyday they get more comfortable. It's like wearing flip flops - I read up on the heel flopping off the foot and apparently that is normal until the leather molds around your foot then the heel will basically set in place.

I messed around with some store bought inserts and got it just right. I have really flat feet.

On day 2, I ordered a pair of brown ones at half the price from a website called Calzafino (?). I hope it's a pair and Quantity 1 doesn't mean 1 boot
I can wear that at work in khakis and it looks like normal type office shoes or with jeans.

Loving it. Best Christmas present ever! <-- to myself no less.

cowboy boots have slick leather soles and should have an underslung heel. these are for ease of getting your foot in and out of a stirrup (also why they tend to have pointy toes, though there is lots of variation) the heel is to keep your foot from going all the way through and having your foot caught if you get bucked off - to keep from being dragged.

a 68 y.o. man and I would wear black kneehigh socks with them.

Yep, a fashion plate for sure.
