I went out this morning just long enough to throw out some bird seed onto the patio for all the brave little juncos, sparrows and chickadees.

I was going to just open the sliding doors to the patio, but they are frozen shut. Plan B didn’t work either - opening the shower window and tossing it out from the second floor. Frozen shut there, too.

It has “warmed up” to -7, with a wind chill of -20.
