Right now, the Grand Rapids area is under an emergency decree. They had 2 ice storms and a wind storm, and some may be without power until some time tomorrow. We had some outages, very close to me, but fortunately they were't catastrophic, like on the west side of Michigan.
We've got another ice event in the forecast for tomorrow night through Tuesday afternoon, and then some heavy snow by Friday. I'm trying to decide which has been worse - the last 3 or 4 winters with record breaking snowfall and cold temps, or this winter with not a lot of snow, but a whole lot of ice. Now we might get both, in one week. Fingers crossed, this latest pattern will fizzle out, before it reaches us.
Supposedly my car will finally be ready (it's been at the mechanics for 3 full weeks) but I'm worried the weather might make it impossible to finally pick it up!!
