It wasn't pitch-black when I awoke this morning

I normally get up at around 6:00 am. This morning was the first time this year that I noticed that the sun had started to rise before I did.

It's a beautiful thing. Spring is on its way!

We have had 60 days of winter so far .... 10 in Dec., 31 in Jan, and 19 in Feb. so
counting backwards today's length of day light should be roughly equal to the length
of daylight on Oct. 22.

My mind works in strange ways.

BTW you should also notice that even on days that don't get above 32 degrees
but you have snow on the ground it will melt because the sun is getting higher in
the sky which increases its "strength."

We are only 10 days to 2 weeks away from smelling skunks that get hit by cars as they
wake up and start looking for "dates" too.
