Are you missing any children or medium-size appliances?

Please take a small-child and medium-size appliance count.

Right now it's "Kit and Kaboodle."

Except Lucky isn't fat.

She's the same size she's always been.

Now I bought them Friskies Indoor and I'm confident they'll lose the weight they put on because of the K & K.

Speaking of Kit and Kaboodle, here's my new slogan:
Kit'n'Kaboodle: for the wannabe 1%er fat cat in you

The kitten I took in last summer was so tiny I always call her Little Bit, now I call her Little Bit chubby. I always try to make excuses for her saying spayed females often have saggy little bellies but in all honesty, she's kind of chubby but she's active happy and certainly not obese so I don't see any problem with it, her hopes of a career as a Sports Illustrates Swimsuit Model may be over but she's happy.

This is especially true of females after they're spayed.

How much does she weigh?

You might start feeding her canned cat food - there's a lot of carbs in the dry stuff and it tends to make them fat. Cats shouldn't be eating corn anyhow.

helps dilute the kitties urine. Male cats especially, have a problem with blockage as they get older.
Iams is also lower in ash content than other brands, that's a good thing.

I'd ask your vet if she's at a healthy weight. And I'm not one to ask, either. My vet said that my dog wasn't "obese," but he could stand to lose "a couple of pounds." He's a toy breed...

can you feel her ribs, and if you look at her from above when she's standing up, can you see her body narrow at all (her "waist&quot ? If so, she's not too fat (this is how the vet explained it to me). (On the basis of these criteria I have one not-fat cat and two who aren't obese but could stand to trim down a bit.)

Chaucer's vet put him on diet cat food this last fall. He's a really big cat to begin with, and when he hit the portly stage he was up around 17 pounds which I agreed was too much for a healthy cat to weigh.

He eats his weight loss food quite happily and he has lost a pound or so in the last 6 months. I think he plays more now than he used to--but he's TEN and he tends to be a lazy sluggo most of the time anyway.

Charlotte is a very pretty cat, but probably overweight. Your vet could tell you if she's overweight and how to cut back on her food. According to my vet, overweight cats (and dogs) are prone to developing diabetes. So I'd check with your vet about her weight management.

My cat got fat when I let him have too much, food always in the dish, I cut it back and he slimmed down. Now I put the same amount in the dish at regular times and no food at night.

*Warning fat kitty may showup on your bed when she becomes hungry attempting to steal your soul as you sleep or wake you and show you how much she loves you while saying "feed me more human".
