First Science Sub Job

Some might remember I retired end of 2018
After 3 weeks of voluntary nothing, I started subbing.
One or twice a week.
But, today I got called to sub 7th grade science!!!
I've done all subject 4th & 5th, 6th & 7th grade English, 8th an 10th grade history and study hall proctor.
But, I started doing this to teach science, and, woo hoo!!!! First shot!
I'm psyched!
I've really been enjoying doing something useful like this!

It was so disappointing. I was there super early, prepared, ready to rock. I did nothing at all. They had planned to have the school counselors come in and go over the students' preparatory graduation materials. I was left with fifteen completely unstructured minutes at the end of each class.

Of course, I will try again, but I'm still disappointed with my first attempt.

Half day that started at lunch. Then, the next 70 minutes was teacher prep time, which means nothing to a sub.
The last 2 hours was OK, even though the last 30 minutes was study hall, it was math which is pretty much my wheelhouse.
The rest have been rewarding. Hang in there!
