An observation about Facebook profiles.

I have found that whenever someone lists as their education any of the following:
School of Hard Knocks
University of Life
School of Experience
(add your own cliché), that their actual understanding of the world is very limited and that they tend to have Fox & Frauds on their 'Likes' page.
Ted Nugent also shows up there.

My daughter is getting her PhD this year and we always joke with her about being a doctor.

Enjoy your retirement!

Real Doctors.

You must be really proud of your daughter! PhD’s are a lot harder to complete.

and she will have a PhD in Physical Chemistry. So very far above my pay grade, I can't even say.

And the best part is that she wants to teach at a small college. Teach, not do research and pass the education part off to TAs. We are very proud of her!

I didn't go to college, and I can get creative when someone asks about my education.

And at any rate, "School Of Hard Knocks" is a lot nicer than "Fuck U."

As my college.

Does that mean I’m limited?

I also attended 6 different schools on 3 continents by the time I graduated HS, so I’m curious if my understanding of the world is somehow comprimised.

I could be wrong but isn't Whatsamattuh, from Rocky and Bullwinkle? It is and will always be one of the best cartoon shows ever made.

I have a degree in non-profit management but I didn't figure that was any of the 9 million (or whatever) strangers on there's business so I put Ivy League School of Technology and Wishful Thinking. FB keeps asking me what state that's in but I'm keeping that a secret. Perhaps you are taking FB a bit more seriously than you should.

And I go look at the profile, that's when I find the denigration of education.

That, along with the whole Faux & Frauds, Trucker KKKarlson, Tr**Putin fellating likes.

I only look at friends and family on FB and if someone ucky somehow gets onto my timeline I block them completely. Saves on blood pressure meds. I reserve all my "getting riled up" time for Twitter.

I usually find the comments on John Pavolitz's page or NPR or the New Yorker. Comment trolls always get a blast.

My usual one of late is calling them Tr**Putin fluffer's. If I really want to go full monty on them I suggest that he could come to their house, shoot their dog, shit on the rug, do their wife or daughter and then they would offer them a BJ.

It's on a sticky, so I don't even have to type it.

I use Twitter, but find it more difficult.

When I want calm, I'm posting on Instagram.
