Last night I almost had TWO dead cats on my hand

Even with a freshly cleaned litterbox one of them managed to do their business on my fresh clean white sheets

Fortunately there is a plastic lining underneath the mattress pad cover so it didn't get on the mattress but I was ready for an early night but ended up being up an extra hour doing laundry.

I'd strangle my furballs but they are just so darn cute.

* sigh *

I only had one cat ever do that to me, and she was really, really mad at me.

They are getting older and the only litter box is on the first floor in the laundry room.

Normally I keep the bedroom door closed when I'm not at home but I forgot.

I know I know - I could put a litter box on the 2nd floor but I really do not want to lug heavy bags filled of used litter up and down the stairs - I enough problems walking them without carrying a 20lb back of used litter with me.

The easiest thing for me is to close all the doors upstairs so the cats can't get in those room. If they are downstairs they'll use the litter box.

As for when I sleep at night I do leave my bedroom door open but I never had a cat do that while I was in the room.
