local wildlife, and it usually ends up well.

(This does not work for bears, though)

Clearly like a pet. The owner was waiting for him. I was afraid that at some point the visitor would panic and start creating havoc.

It's clearly a domesticated reindeer.

He's probably rehabbing it at home, or lives someplace that zoned to allow reindeer.
