Not unlike the zombie virus right after the outbreak, the world of The Walking Dead keeps spreading. First, there was the 2010 smash hit adaptation of the comic book. A year later, Talking Dead with Chris Hardwick made its debut. Then, the companion series Fear the Walking Dead was launched in 2015. And last November, it was announced there would be a trilogy of TWD films starring Andrew Lincolns Rick Grimes. Now add another one to the (body) pile.
AMC has announced it is green-lighting a third scripted series set in the world of The Walking Dead. According to the network, the series will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.

So, I say, milk it for all it is worth.

(6,021 posts)I held out until this past season, but it all became way too dragged out, and ultimately boring. The whole Negan thing needlessly went on forever.
