(102,276 posts)1. Ignoring the abuse of "therapy" animal designation, how can they refuse them as well?
The MTA allows service animals like guide dogs to board trains without being in enclosed containers, but does not extend that provision to therapy animals or dogs used for emotional support.
I'm not talking about the OP example, but rather the bigger picture. How is this not a violation of the ADA?
And, again, I don't doubt the need to crack down on abuse of the "therapy" animal system, but to deny them totally?
